Our Spirit of Scotland Weathered Heavyweight Tartan is a lilac and grey based tartan with olive, white and black overchecks. It is custom-made from our heavyweight (Selkirk 16oz.) tweed fabric. It is a great finishing touch to any outfit and we also have a matching bow tie and pocket square.

New for 2023, our Selkirk Tweed is made from 100% pure new wool and, 50% of the wool is of Scottish origin. As we continue our environmental journey one of our aims is to increase our use of British and Scottish sourced yarns for our fabrics and accessories. The Selkirk Tweed stock range comprises nine classic tartans interpreted to reflect our natural environment and have been woven with a kilting selvedge. This quality is based on our premium Strome and is a beautiful addition to our stocked tartans. They have been created to match our heavyweight Selkirk Tweed KIlt. The modern variant of the tartan was originally designed by Michael King of Philip King Tailoring Ltd, Aberdeen, this design was adopted by the National Trust of Scotland for Fyvie Castle. This tartan is a great choice for members of a wedding party wishing to support the groom without wearing a clan tartan.
