Lochcarron Of Scotland MacKenzie Hunting Modern Selkirk Heavyweight Tweed Tie

Our MacKenzie Hunting Modern Neck Tie is a traditional navy and green-based tartan with white, red and brown overchecks. It is custom-made from our heavyweight (Selkirk 16oz.) tweed fabric.  It is a great finishing touch to any outfit and we also have a matching bow tie and pocket square.

New for 2023, our Selkirk Tweed™ is made from 100% pure new wool and, 50% of the wool is of Scottish origin. As we continue our environmental journey one of our aims is to increase our use of British and Scottish sourced yarns for our fabrics and accessories. The Selkirk Tweed™ stock range comprises nine classic tartans interpreted to reflect our natural environment and have been woven with a kilting selvedge. This quality is based on our premium Strome™ and is a beautiful addition to our stocked tartans. They have been created to match our heavyweight Selkirk Tweed KIlt. This clan possessed Kintail in the 14th century and took their name from a chief named Kenneth who lived in the 13th century. They were a strong and powerful clan, who feuded with their neighbours. They fought against the MacDonalds at the Battle of Blair-na-park in 1491.
