Modern Morrison Green Medium Weight Tartan is a traditional green-based tartan with shades of blue. The Morrisons were in Lewis and parts of the north-west Highlands at an early date. The Morrisons on the mainland are said to have settled in Sutherland following a dispute with Torquil Dubh MacLeod in the 16th century. Another Morrison family, that of Bognie, were prominent in north-east Scotland.
