Lochcarron Of Scotland Alice Bruce Of Kinnaird Ancient Tartan Lambswool Serape

The Lochcarron of Scotland Lambswool Serape is the ultimate Winter-Spring essential. This name was adopted by the Bruce family when some of the Bruces of Clackmannan acquired land at Kinnaird in Stirlingshire. The Bruce of Kinnaird tartan was copied from a coat which is said to date from the mid-18th century. This was in the possession of the Bruces of Kinnaird. The present Lord Bruce decided to adopt this as the family tartan and had tartan woven from the setting of the old coat. This is now used in ordinary wear by the Elgin family.
