Our Lochcarron Scottish Borderland Weathered Lambswool Blanket is a muted tartan with an orange and sage green base with pale blue, yellow, red and brown overchecks. This stole is the perfect multitasking accessory, worn wrapped close or draped over the shoulders this beautiful piece offers warmth and style in abundance. The Scottish Borderland original tartan was designed by Alistair Buchan the previous owner of Locharron of Scotland in 1996, and was inspired by the colours of the Scottish Borders landscape, the blues and greys of the River Tweed running through the region and soft greens that blankets the hills from Peebles across to the east coast,  this tartan is a district tartan and therefore does not have a clan chief. Home to clans such as the Elliots and the Scotts, relationships between Border Clans would vary from uneasy alliances to open, deadly feuds.
