Unfortunately, I had destroyed this exact same tea kettle. I was so delighted when I found that I could replace it.

I have had my Chantal SS Classic teakettle for about 15 years. It is brushed SS with a copper bottom, two-tone whistle and padded grip. I have boiled the kettle dry on more than one occasion, but the copper bottom withstood the heat and it still works great. However, the whistle stopped working a few years ago, so I finally decided I would buy a new kettle. However, the current version of this kettle is no longer brushed SS and the description does not mention a copper bottom. I liked the whistle, but the kettle still functions beautifully and is not tarnished or rusted; and so, after reading the reviews on the current version, I have decided NOT to replace my kettle.

I bought this kettle thinking it was functional....and it looked sharp.The whistle did not work. I returned it to the store, and they replaced it. The new one is worse. Does not whistle, AND constantly dribbles when pouring.
