Chantal’s exceptionally strong, non-porous semi-gloss glaze won’t react with foods or flavors. You can slice and serve directly from this dish, without worrying about scratches. Crafted to ensure excellent heat distribution, our pie dish promotes even baking. We hand-sand the base for a smooth, no-scratch surface. It cleans easily in the dishwasher and is oven, microwave and freezer safe. 1 3/4 qt. capacity. All Chantal ceramics are lead and cadmium safe and meet FDA and CA Prop 65 requirements.

Actually, I made a gluten-free lemon tart for my daughter-in-law in my own Chantal dish, and Brenda liked the dish even more than the tart, so I ordered this one for her. We both shall use our Chantal dishes for years to come, I hope.

I have used this for years, and just bought a new one after my old one dropped on the kitchen floor and cracked in half. It is sturdy and evenly bakes deep-dish pies reliably year after year. It cleans up very easily, too, with little sticking. I expect I’ll be using this well-made replacement for another 20 years or so!

Several years ago, I purchased a Chantal Deep Dish Pie cookware and it has been wonderful. I still have it and still use it. I needed another one and I really did think that the company was still operating, I took a chance and googled the company's name and I was able to go on their website! I ordered 2 Deep Dish Pie cookware, 1 to use for baking cornbread and the other for baking pies! These Deep Dish Pie cookware are made of very good quality and they are very durable! I think I'll order 2 more, I truly love these cookwares!
