Sugar Skull Animal Gourd Ornament

Gorgeous carved gourds from the Huave Indians of the coast of Oaxaca. They are masterfully carved with animals and birds with rustic tools, to create a lovely reflection of the indigenous jungle animals that roam their areas around their villages.  All are deep black which is achieved by passing them over a flame before they are carved and all have hangers. Each is unique.  (the black doesn't rub off).  Size varies, but most are between 3.5" to 4" diameter.
