Proudly proclaimed as the company that released the first Fair Trade bamboo socks on the market, these Shared Earth Fair Trade Bamboo Polka Dots Socks add to a growing range of designs for this long-standing, York-based business, that is focused on developing ethical and eco-friendly products.

The extra-large multicolour spots and contrasting cuffs, toes and heels give the socks a vibrant look for ankles, made with super-soft, naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial bamboo fibre. Bamboo is becoming favoured over cotton for crops because it grows without the need for fertilisers or pesticides (that natural antibacterial ability again!). It requires only a third of the water cotton does, saving farmers from wasting water through irrigation, but offers yields 10 times higher per hectare.
