This ensures your blade is sharpened to its original performance standard. Simply keep the blade flat and parallel to the working surface as you pull it across the stone—no need to worry about holding the right angle yourself.

Once you've sharpened your knife, you can maintain the edge for a longer period of time by honing regularly with the included honing steel. The Shun 3-Piece Sharpening System includes our Shun 1000/6000-Grit Combination Whetstone, Shun Combination Honing Steel, and angled bamboo stand.
