Max Machen is an illustrator and printmaker based in Edinburgh. He creates bright, visually witty images that bring smiles to walls, faces and in this case... mugs!

Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds', being one of Machen's favourites, the blue hues in 'Des Oiseaux' provide a daily reminder of the classic film but with a witty and inviting French twist.
