Kriega BMW GS Universal OS-Base
The BMW GS "Universal" OS-Base is a heavy-duty, rackless luggage harness designed to fit all models of BMW GS with a rear rack. This includes early R80GS Airheads right through to the modern BMW R1300GS. BMW F900 GS without rear racks are even compatible with the GS OS-Base System but only when using six liter OS-6 ADV Packs.
ADV riders typically run into many issues as they search for viable luggage options as they want to get the absolute most capability out of their trail blazing machines. Metal pannier frames are far too heavy and take too long to install/uninstall, especially on the trail. Worst of all, they are often not as durable as the rugged machines they are being bolted to. The Kriega OS-Base addresses all of these issues and more, with Kriega's typical attention to detail and awareness of rider's needs during serious adventure.
The OS-Base is engineered and contoured for a model-specific fit and after the initial setup, bags affix to your bike in just a few seconds. It is compatible with Kriega's OS-6, OS-12 or OS-18 drypacks. Additional luggage, like your tent and sleeping bag, can be lashed down above the rear fender with included loop mounts. Once you've set up camp or reached your hotel, the latter of which we assume is a rare treat on an otherwise primitive back country journey, the entire system, bags included, can be removed in a matter of seconds.
