Stock crash bars look great on the showroom floor and may even suffice if your bike lives a cush life as a Starbucks parking lot princess. However, if you ride your Adventure bike like it was meant to be ridden, you should really consider reinforcing your OEM crash bars. 

Some OEM crash bars’ hard rubber pads have a tendency to punch a hole in the cylinder header, which is why AltRider has produced a Reinforcement Bar to brace against impact and strengthen the entire crash bars structure. The AltRider design directs force in an almost straight line to the frame of the motorcycle, with no unnecessary bends or flimsy band clamps to bend under load.
