Our new Lapis Lazuli collection, Samar Anara, is handcrafted in Kabul, using stones sourced from the ancient mines of Badakhshan — a region known for producing some of the world’s most luminous blues. Named after the extraordinary Afghan activist Sima Samar. Anara means light — to illuminate — and it speaks not only to the luminous quality of the stone itself, but to the spirit of the artisans who continue to create with care, dedication, and hope, even in the face of adversity. Each piece carries that quiet light — a testament to beauty made under difficult circumstances. 

The deep, celestial blue of Lapis is said to connect us to wisdom and truth. Its intensity lifts the heart and stirs a sense of the infinite.
