Pippa Small 18kt Gold Night Tumbled Black Onyx Single Drop Earrings

Night features stones of onyx, hematite, pyrite and smokey quartz. I have created soft organic forms, like river-tumbled pebbles that have been turned gently over millennia and formed into shapes that are tactile and seductive. 

I have mixed in the popular charms from the natural world: the plants that feed us, beans, fruit and pods; they flow with the rocks as a collection of talismanic charms on cord pendants. 

This collection plays with polished, rough, and matte finishes. The stones and their shades of black, grey, silver, and smoke provide a sophisticated and unexpected palette that sings with the gold in the collection.Night brings the colours of dusk, a private time, a primordial time, when seeds burst and begin life - gems that germinate, minerals that are mysterious and ancient.
