Olympia Le Tan Le Rêve

Olympia Le-Tan's Picasso x Simon de Pury collection recreates Picasso artworks using embroidery handiwork that take up to 300 hours to perfect each. Le rêve is a 1932 portrait of Picasso’s mistress Marie-Thérèse Walter, painted during a period where he was distorting his subjects, while using simple outlines and contrasting colors. For de Pury who curated this collection, “ Le rêve is a painting that has always made me rêve, or ‘dream’.
