Toscano Chub Salami is made with premium pork raised without antibiotics and fennel pollen which is renowned for bringing out a sweet complexity in the meat. Traditional salamis are wrapped in a white, powdery edible-mold casing similar to what you would find on fine cheeses. This type of mold helps cure the salami and protect it against spoilage. We do recommend removing the casing before consuming, however, it is completely safe to eat.

NOTE: You can tell if salami is spoiled by its smell and appearance. Particularly a slimy surface or pungent odor are common signs that the product should be discarded.
