We tan the leather with 2 different layers of colour - one colour underneath and one colour on top. Normally use the lighter colour underneath. This is a special design feature, so when we brush off a bit the top colour, the colour underneath shows adding a different colour detailing. As you wear this pair, this special feature might show more in certain areas, for example maybe where heels rub off against each other or in other areas of friction. This effect is part of this special leather, and every pair might be slightly different due to all our items being handmade pairs.
