United States St.Andrews Tartan. United States St. Andrew is a bright blue-based tartan with shades of red. Originally designed to celebrate the American Bicentennial in 1976, this tartan was later adopted as the tartan of the St. Andrews Societies of America. The societies are organisations that celebrate Scottish Heritage worldwide, with some restricting membership to people born in Scotland or their descendants, however, this tartan can be worn and enjoyed by all.
