The St Patrick Irish Tartan is a green-based Irish tartan with a white check. St Patrick was born in the British Isles. His original name was Maewyn Succat, and only became Patrick after he was ordained as a priest. Brought to Ireland and sold as a slave he was in captivity for six years. God’s voice told him the time was right to escape.
