Royal Canadian Airforce Tartan. Royal Canadian Airforce is a light blue-based tartan with pink and black checks. This tartan was created in the early 1940s by Group Captain Elmer Fullerton. Based on the Anderson tartan and the RCAF colours the Royal Canadian Airforce tartan links land and community between Scotland and Canada through the symbolic use of colour.
