Oliphant Ancient Lightweight Tartan is a bright green-based tartan with a white overcheck. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

This surname is of Norman origin. The family held onto land in Northamptonshire long after the principal branch had removed to Scotland. David de Olifard, the progenitor of the House of Oliphant saved King David I during the siege of Winchester Castle. He received a small grant of lands in Roxburghshire.
