NIsbet Modern Lightweight Tartan is a bright red-based tartan with a bold green check. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

First mentioned in the 12th century, the Nisbets appear to have taken their name from the old Barony of Nesbit, in Edrom Parish, in Berwickshire. They appear to have remained in the Border counties for several generations, but later some Nisbets were in other parts of Scotland.
