Newfoundland Canadian Tartan. Newfoundland is a Canadian green-based tartan with shades of brown and gold. Newfoundland is the most easterly province of Canada and is situated in the country’s Atlantic region. This official tartan was designed in 1955 with the colours representing the official anthem "Ode to Newfoundland", pine forests, snow, the Iron Isle and the Royal Standard.
