Matheson Hunting Modern Lightweight Tartan is a traditional nacy-based tartan with green checks. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

The two main branches were Matheson of Shiness, in Sutherland, and Matheson of Lochalsh. There were other notable branches, including Bennetsfield in the Black Isle, Ross-shire. Sir Alexander Matheson, of the Lochalsh branch, became 1st Baronet of Lochalsh in 1882.
