Maple Leaf Heavyweight Tartan is a colourful tartan with shades of green, red and gold.

This tartan was designed by David Weiser in 1964 and was inspired by the changing colours found in Canada's recognised symbol, the maple leaf. It was made for Highland Queen in anticipation of the centenary of Canada's Dominion status in 1867. David Weiser was said to have been in the fashion world for many years.
