MacQuarrie Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a vibrant red-based tartan with a green check.

Ulva and areas of Mull was the home to this clan. They weren't a numerous clan and received a severe blow when their chief, Allan MacQuarrie, and most clansmen, were killed at the Battle of Inverkeithing in 1651. Lachlan MacQuarrie, had to sell his estates and joined the army at the age of 73. He died in 1818, at the age of 103.
