Mackellar Weathered tartan. MacKeller Weathered is a gentle grey-based tartan with shades of yellow and khaki. Woven in 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products and accessories. The MacKellars are a sept of the Clan Campbell and the surname is thought to be derived from the Latin "Hilarious." From 1470, the MacKellars owned the lands of Ardare in Glassary. The tartan is of modern origin and can be traced back to about 1930.
