MacDonald of Clanranald Ancient Medium Weight Tartan is a bright green and blue-based tartan with red overchecks.

Ranald, the son of the Lord of the Isles was the progenitor of this famous branch of the Clan Donald. They had a reputation for being fierce and warlike. Their history was a turbulent one with frequent clan feuds and battles.
