MacAuley Hunting Modern Tartan. MacAuley Hunting Modern is a dark green-based tartan with red and white overchecks. In their clan history, there are two branches of MacAuley. The Ardincaple MacAuley's were a branch of Clan ALpine, and in 1591 were associated with the MacGregor as septs. The MacAuley's of Lewis followed the MacLeods of Lewis and claim to be descended from Aula.
