MacAuley Hunting Ancient Heavyweight Tartan is a green-based tartan with red and white overchecks.

In their clan history, there are two branches of MacAuley. The Ardincaple MacAuley's were a branch of Clan Alpine, and in 1591 were associated with Clan MacGregor as septs. The MacAuley's of Lewis followed the MacLeods of Lewis and claim to be descended from Aula.
