MacAlister Modern Lightweight Tartan is a red-based tartan with a blue overcheck. Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.

Clan MacAlister is a branch of Clan Donald. Their ancestor was Alister, a descendant of the famous Somerled of the Isles, and they were in Kintyre in the 14th century. They were later found in Bute and Arran.
