Kidd Ancient Tartan. Kidd Ancient is a colourful tartan with shades of orange, green and blue, with a yellow overcheck. The origins of this tartan can be traced back to 1819 when it was also known as Caledonia and MacPherson. At that time, the Tartan was sold to a Dealer called Kidd in Angus. The name Kidd can be found generally throughout the British Isles.
