Inverness Modern Heavyweight Tartan is a classic red-based tartan with shades of green and white.

The Inverness tartan is said to have been designed for HRH Duke of Sussex in around 1822. The Duke was also Earl of Inverness and the tartan was named in honour of his Scottish title. It was the first tartan to appear as a colour illustration in any book on tartans.
