Buchanan Old Weathered Heavyweight Tartan is a muted brown and red based Strome tartan with yellow checks, woven using 100% Scottish Wool. Strome tartan can be made into kilts, clothing, upholstery and craft-projects.

For close on 700 years the lands of Buchanan on the east side of Loch Lomond were possessed by the Buchanans. In Gaelic the name is known as Mac, Chanonaich meaning “Son of the Canon".
