Package design is based on Tsuno-Taishi, a talisman linked to Ganzan Daishi (Ryōgen), a Heian-era monk who, according to legend, transformed into a horned figure to ward off evil and disease. We reimagined Tsuno-Taishi, who battles demons, taking a moment to relax and enjoy the scent of incense.

Awaji Island, the birthplace of incense in Japan, has been crafting premium incense for centuries using only natural ingredients. The tradition dates back to 595 AD, when fragrant agarwood (jinko) drifted ashore, releasing an exquisite aroma when burned. Enchanted by its scent, it was presented to the Imperial Court, marking the beginning of Japan’s incense culture. Today, Awaji remains Japan’s largest and oldest incense producer, creating original, all-natural incense that honours this rich heritage.
