This catalogue accompanies Kitagawa Utamaro, Ikon’s 2010 exhibition of work by one of the masters of Ukiyo-e.

To accompany the exhibition, this is a survey of woodblock prints by Japanese artist Kitagawa Utamaro (歌麿 c.1753 – 1806) from the collection of the British Museum. Curated by British artist Julian Opie and Timothy Clark, Head of the Japanese Department, British Museum.
