Ikon Farwa Moledina Khadijah (a.s.)

Farwa Moledina’s work is often a study of female Muslim identity. She is interested in how the western historical art narrative portrays the Muslim woman, and whether this has impacted ways in which Muslim women are viewed in the contemporary world.

Each artwork focuses on a female figure of cultural significance in the East, but largely unfamiliar in the west.  This design focuses on the historical figure Khadijah (a.s.) and along with a central figurative image the pattern references a symbolic narrative.
