Heimat Atlantic's project aim is to highlight the incredible work of bobbin lace weavers of Camariñas in Galicia. They handmade the delicate lace decorations that decorate this unique pouch. 

We custom made it for you and hand embroider your name in one of the decorations. 

The bobbin lace tradition arrived to Galicia by the sea, brought by the Italian trades who travelled the Italy-Flanders route. This cultural exchange between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic was embraced by the matriarchal society of Galicia, where women, seeking to supplement their income, perfected the art of lacemaking, creating exquisite works of crafts.
