The ceramic vessel begins its journey as terracotta, blended with rainwater and earth to achieve its distinctive character. This clay is poured into plaster moulds, carefully shaped into an elliptical hollow form, and left to set for several hours.
It then undergoes its first firing at 980°C. Each piece is hand-enamelled inside and out before a second firing at 1280°C&a process that fuses the enamel to the terracotta surface, creating a vessel of exceptional hardness, durability, and luminous smoothness.
