Crockett & Jones Donegal 2 Walnut Hatch Grain

A new style from Crockett & Jones for Autumn Winter 2024, Donegal is our latest low-leg apron derby boot. Featuring three speedhooks, we have reduced the leg height by an inch, giving the boot a more casual style. The new last, Last 394, features asymmetric fitting characteristics in the forepart, with an excellent fitting heel for added comfort during wear. Coupled with the Ridgeway sole, there is an air of ‘original vintage’ about this new style.

Hatch Grain Hide is an ‘oily pull-up’ leather, it has a tight, compact fibre structure, increasing durability and longevity in wear. Starting life as a chrome-tanned leather, vegetable extracts are then re-tanned into the hide producing a soft and supple feel while upholding its durability. This process is more commonly known as a ‘veg re-tan’, allowing the leather to take on an aged character without compromising its long-term performance.
