Following the death of his good friend Roland Ratzen-berger on Saturday 30th April—and two hours before Senna was killed—we all sat in the briefing room. Ayrton was saying to me how he didn’t want to race; they were making him! I remember he was so agitated and not engaging with the meeting at all.
