This sgian dubh knife has a traditional serrated blade and horn handle. It is supplied gift boxed with an embossed real leather sheath. The cap is adorned with a pewter Scottish thistle design. The reverse side of the ox horn handle is polished flat to give a smooth and comfortable sit.

Stags shed their antlers naturally, and no cruelty is involved in the making of this product. As this sgian dubh is made from natural materials there will be variations in colour, markings and handle direction from the products pictured. This guarantees a truly unique product.

The Sgian Dubh, or sock knife, first appeared in military use in around 1800 and is worn in kilted dress uniforms today.
