Airflo Superflo Max Scout is a versatile Skagit Head. Skagit lines are simple, but they can be hard to get right. The Scout is right for a lot of rods. In smaller grain weights it is the perfect weight and length for single hand spey fishing. It can accommodate two-hand trout spey setups. In larger grain weights we love it for switch rods for winter and summer steelhead. The largest grain weights can excel with full spey rods less than 12’6”.
Airflo Fly Lines, including Skagit heads, have been re-released in 2025 with brand new Superflo Max technology. This allows them to cast better, float better and fish better.All Airflo Spey heads are PVC free, feature durable power loops, and are built with ultra supple coating and low stretch braid. The black colored loop will always attach to the running/shooting line.
