Bohemia Design Hand Embroidered Basket Delphinium

According to the Victorian language of flowers delphiniums were believed to symbolise the dreamer’s heart and in some cultures they are also thought to have magical properties. With their heavenly blue blooms it isn’t surprising that this flower represents joy and positivity and we love to see their graceful spires gently swaying in our garden.

The delphinium illustration has been embroidered onto our palm leaf bucket shaped basket bag by the skilful hand of women artisans in Morocco. A sustainable and eco-friendly handwoven tote basket, this design is perfect for pottering in the garden, foraging and gathering flowers, fruits, vegetables or fungi. It also makes for a cheerful home storage basket.

A combination of the time-honoured, traditional techniques of weaving and embroidery make these hand woven baskets are a true celebration of slow craft.

Please note | Our palm leaf baskets are handwoven in the round and feature a 'step' on the rim where they are tied and finished. This is intentional and not a flaw, but rather a part of the design.
