Bella Freud 1970 Mohair Jumper

Playtime. New Cactus green Mohair 1970.

"While messing around on my photocopier I spied the date 1970 printed in the corner of the catalogue I was leafing through. This date looked good. I kept blowing it up, then cut it out and pinned the strip of white paper onto my black jumper. It had a charm, like a cool record cover. I had read somewhere in a Coco Chanel biography, that she advised women to invest in a string of pearls because it reflected a luminescent glow onto the face. What I was looking at made me think of the early New York punk scene, and Patti Smith. This white stripe with the black writing is like a Punk string of pearls."

1970 gets the mohair treatment. Oversized, knitted in fine italian super kid mohair with 1970 intarsia. Ribbed hem, neck and cuffs. Model is a size 8 wearing a size small. We recommend taking a size down for a more fitted style, or your regular size for an oversized fit.
