This model was originally released in 1992 under the mountaineering boot brand GARIVIER, operated by Richard-Pontvert, the company behind Paraboot. It was later discontinued but revived in 2007 under the Paraboot name.

While the original featured a voluminous last designed for mountaineering boots, the revived AVORIAZ adopts the same last used for Paraboot’s classic CHAMBORD. This gives the boot a slimmer, sharper silhouette, combining trekking boot design with an urban-friendly aesthetic.

The sole features the JANNU SOLE, which is based on the iconic mountaineering boot sole used since the GARIVIER era. It has been redesigned to offer improved flexibility, making it more suitable for urban wear.
