Details The Bayley cufflinks series is named after our wonderful patina artist Derek Bayley. Each cufflink base is precision turned in aerospace grade brass, by our engineers in Hertford, before being delivered to Derek in his London studio where he artistically hand decorates them with skill, flare and care to ensure every pair is totally unique. Part of the Autumn series, these cufflinks are inspired by Autum leaves turning ochre & rich and the reveal of nature’s beautiful leaf skeleton. Patina is an oxidisation on the surface of the brass. Derek works his oxides and nitrates together with flames to layer, colour and create a complex and rich ochre surface finish. A true combination of art and science these would be cherished by the material scientist as much as the art lover. No two pairs of these patina brass cufflinks are ever the same, making them even more special. A colourful and artistic gift and only a few pairs of these have ever been made.
